Two pictures of our
Citroen Traction Avant in wedding livery may be seen
above . The setting is beside a lovely small church
in Albury just outside Guildford, Surrey. As it
happens, this is one of several churches used for the
filming of "4 Weddings and a funeral". This
church was used for the 3rd wedding
(supposedly a church in Scotland) with the
"stiff in a skirt".

Where possible, the
ribbons and bows are matched to the same colour
as the bride's dress (chocolate and cream in this case)
along with the fresh flowers on the
parcel shelf. We also offer Champagne (or similar)
if requested. |
For the bride and her
father/husband there is an enormous amount of leg room
in the rear of the car along with plenty of
space to fold in a long bridal train.

This model of Citroen is
famous because in 1934
it was the first front wheel drive car to be made in any
large numbers. We take fwd for granted these days but
someone had to be first and it was Citroen.
Many folk may recognise the car shape from film footage
of WW11 and films about the 2nd World War . Older readers
may well remember the car (if not the exact model) as
Maigret's car from the 1961 TV series.
In France La
Traction is an automotive icon; to be found in
very many museums celebrating both the advanced
design and its role in the Resistance.
Unsurprisingly, wherever it goes La
Traction always draws an enormous amount of
attention.
