Display Cabinet General description
The story here is that the loudspeaker company
realised late on a Thursday afternoon that they needed a
display stand for the following Monday.
The cabinet was made on the Friday morning using
6mm MDF. It was then sprayed 2x times with a very
expensive fast drying "high build" primer and cut back
between each coat. .
On Saturday morning it was the usual 16 mile drive
to the workshop; the primer surface was cut back using 400
wet and dry. The first coat of eggshell black was sprayed on
using an HLVP spray gun.
On Sunday, after a lovely breakfast and a quick scan of
the papers, the process was repeated.
Monday 2pm it was in the showroom awaiting a "Mini
Zeppelin" docking station.
Why not use plastic laminate you say? Well, you try
getting hold of plastic laminate with a weekend and
that kind of schedule to meet.
