Bedroom furniture
General description
The request was for a headboard and two bedside cupboards
to match in colour and style existing furniture in one of
the spare bedrooms. The wood was to be American Cherry ,
stained to match other pieces in the room.

Photo1 & 2 above: Left, detail of the
drawer front in one of the two bedside cupboards. Right
A complete cupboard.
Photo 4&5: The pair of cupboards sitting on my
bench in the workshop.. The finish is a fairly new
product that goes by the name of "brushing French
polish" (http://www.mylands.co.uk/guide.html#b1).
It dries quickly smoothly and with "no lap". Here then is a major advantage over Danish Oil that
requires a good 24 hours to harden off. The
surface will readily withstand a hot mug of coffee and
or spilt water.
Photo 6: Head board and cupboards insitu. True colour
of wood is as in the pictures above.
